The role

We are hiring our first Compliance Lead to build compliance into how providers launch and run their practices on VyeOS. Compliance is part of the product we sell: every provider who launches on Vye is trusting us to handle licensure, supervision, credentialing, privacy, billing, and marketing rules they never want to think about.

You'll own our compliance program end to end, reporting to Matt and working closely with our Chief Medical Officer, Head of People, engineering, and outside counsel. This is a hands-on operator role, not an advisory one. As we open self-serve launches, your biggest lever is encoding the rules into VyeOS so every practice is compliant by default.

How we work

We're intentionally small and intentionally AI-native. We work with partners like Medallion for credentialing and payer enrollment and LegitScript for telehealth certification, track work in Linear, and use Claude across every workflow. You'll use AI to monitor state rules, draft policies, and turn requirements into product logic engineers can ship.

What you’ll own

Your key results:

  • Every practice launches and operates compliantly in every state it serves
  • Time to a compliant launch: licensure, supervision, credentialing, and certifications ready on schedule
  • Zero material findings from regulators, payers, partners, or audits

You're an owner. Your ultimate KR is Provider Trust and Vye Equity Value.

The work behind those results:

  • Healthcare regulatory: Own our approach to corporate practice of medicine, our MSO and affiliated professional corporation structure, state fee-splitting rules, Anti-Kickback and Stark, and state telehealth requirements.
  • Licensure and supervision: Manage provider licensure, NP scope of practice, and collaborating or supervising physician agreements by state, plus prescriber, DEA, and e-prescribing identity requirements.
  • Credentialing and enrollment: Partner with operations on Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer enrollment, malpractice certificates and tail coverage, and state-specific insurance requirements.
  • Privacy and security: Run our HIPAA program: policies, BAAs, workforce training, and risk assessments. Support security certifications and partner diligence from labs, pharmacies, and e-prescribing networks.
  • Marketing and commerce: Keep patient acquisition compliant: LegitScript, Google and Meta healthcare ad policies, testimonials, referral incentives, and state restrictions on specialty labs and compounded medications.
  • Billing compliance: Set the rules for documentation and coding, membership versus insurance billing, good faith estimates, and claims integrity.
  • Compliance by design: Partner with engineering to turn state-by-state rules into product logic, so self-serve providers can't accidentally step out of bounds.

What we’re looking for

  • Healthcare compliance depth: 5+ years in compliance at a telehealth, virtual care, MSO, or multi-state provider organization.
  • State-by-state fluency: You know corporate practice of medicine, fee-splitting, telehealth, and NP scope of practice rules, and where they differ.
  • Program builder: You've stood up a HIPAA and compliance program from scratch, not just maintained one.
  • Marketing compliance: You've guided telehealth or prescription-adjacent advertising through platform and regulatory requirements.
  • Pragmatic operator: You make clear, risk-calibrated calls quickly and help the team find the compliant way to yes.
  • AI at the core: You use AI to scale yourself and want to build compliance into software rather than spreadsheets.
  • Nice to have: JD or CHC certification; payer enrollment and credentialing experience; lab and pharmacy regulation; SOC 2 or HITRUST experience.

About Vye Health

Vye Health is an AI-native healthcare company that gives medical providers the infrastructure, tools, and support to launch, run, and grow a private practice with no upfront cost.

How Vye supports practices

Running a private practice involves clinical work and business operations. Our team builds the tools and support described below.

  • Vye manages licensing, credentialing, malpractice insurance, and your website, and payer contracts if you want them.
  • Vye runs bookings, billing, coding, denials, and compliance.
  • Vye runs patient acquisition for your practice: the practice website, SEO, directory listings, and Google and Meta ads on a budget you set.

Our open roles help build and run this support for practices.

The Vye platform

Vye charges $0 upfront, and no SaaS or monthly fee.

  • Vye Core: Vye Core is an EHR and practice platform: scheduling, charting, telehealth, a patient app and billing in one place, with Vye Orders included.
  • Vye Orders: Vye Orders lets you order labs, imaging, sleep studies and other specialist referrals, prescriptions including compounded medications, and supplements from one place, and your patients use one login.
  • Vye Growth: Vye Growth brings your practice website, search, ads and listings into one place, with reviews coming, and works with the EHR you already use.

Vye Core, Vye Orders and Vye Growth open to practices this fall.

Our leadership team combines a CEO who helped scale Datavant from an early-stage startup to a multi-billion dollar company, a Head of Engineering with an aeronautical engineering degree from MIT, a Head of People who has built and scaled technical teams at Airbnb and Twitter, and a Yale-trained, dual board certified Chief Medical Officer.

  • Matt Vail, Co-Founder & CEO
  • Alan Wang, Co-Founder & Head of Engineering
  • Angie Zhou, Co-Founder & Head of People
  • Nikki Bundy, Chief Medical Officer
  • Diana Yao, Customer Success Lead
  • Founding Engineers: Jan Sokol, Raine Zhong, Yu Zhou, Isha Madhurendra, Kevin Gao, Emma Gan, Russell Castro, Adriana Gutierrez
  • Founding Product Designers: Puka Novero, Jenn Wong

Company background

  • Founded October 2025; backed by SignalFire and Valtruis
  • Vye Health helps providers launch, run, and grow private practices.

What we offer

  • Meaningful early equity in a well-positioned health-tech company
  • A competitive base salary of $174,000 to $218,000 USD, commensurate with experience, along with meaningful equity and benefits. We benchmark against San Francisco market rates.
  • Fully remote, async-friendly culture with regular video syncs, plus an optional office in San Francisco
  • Quarterly in-person offsites with the entire team
  • Direct collaboration with founders and a chance to shape the company from the ground up

Why now

The convergence of agentic AI and a deeply broken healthcare system makes this the exact right moment. We're not incrementally improving an existing product. We're rebuilding the entire infrastructure of how a practice runs from the ground up. The scope of what we're doing is only now possible, and the people who help build it will have shaped something that meaningfully improves how clinicians practice medicine and how patients receive care.

Our values

We are an Olympic sports team, not a family. We optimize for high performance, radical candor, speed, and continuous improvement.

  1. Have Fun! Life is too short not to enjoy your work.
  2. Be an Owner: Fewer rules and more responsibilities. Think big and deliver meaningful impact.
  3. Understand Why: Be curious. Seek context. Get to the root cause.
  4. Maximize Growth: Growth over comfort. Invent, simplify, and bias for action.
  5. Obsess Over Customers: Understand customers deeply and build what truly improves their lives.
