Chief Financial Officer

We are hiring our first Chief Financial Officer. You'll be an executive on our leadership team, reporting to Matt, and you'll own the financial strategy and operations of a business with an unusual and exciting shape: platform revenue share, patient memberships, insurance reimbursement, product margin on labs and supplements, provider payouts, and capital that funds provider marketing.

This is a hands-on role. You'll build the model, run the numbers, close the books with our accounting partner, and stand in front of investors, all while making finance a strategic weapon for how we price, grow, and allocate every dollar.

We're intentionally small and intentionally AI-native. We run on Pilot for accounting, Brex for spend, Rippling for payroll, and Carta for equity, with claims and funnel data flowing into PostHog. You'll use Claude to automate reconciliations, reporting, and analysis so finance runs on systems, not spreadsheets.

• Accurate, on-time financials: monthly close and provider payouts
• Unit economics: CAC payback, revenue per member, and contribution margin per practice

The work behind those results:

• Financial strategy and planning: Own the operating model, 18-month plan, scenarios, budgets, and hiring plan, and make the tradeoffs clear.
• Unit economics: Model memberships, insurance reimbursement, and product margin into practice-level P&Ls; partner with Growth and Commercial on patient CAC, LTV, and pricing.
• Accounting and close: Manage our accounting partner, revenue recognition for a revenue-share model, and multi-entity books across Vye and its affiliated professional corporations. Get us audit-ready.
• Payouts and cash: Own provider payouts, cash collection across memberships, claims, and lab orders, and treasury and banking relationships.
• Capital for growth: Design and fund how Vye finances provider marketing, so providers can grow without writing a check on day one.
• Fundraising and investor relations: Lead board reporting and financial diligence, and partner with Matt on our next raise.
• Tax, insurance, and systems: Multi-state tax, corporate insurance, and an AI-native finance stack.

• Startup finance leadership: You've been a CFO, VP Finance, or head of finance at a venture-backed company from early stage through growth.
• Healthcare or marketplace economics: You understand healthcare services, reimbursement, or marketplace and revenue-share models.
• Fundraising experience: You've led or closed equity rounds and know how investors underwrite a business like ours.
• Modeling excellence: You build clear, decision-ready models and explain them in plain language.
• Hands-on operator: You're as comfortable reconciling payouts as presenting to the board.
• AI at the core: You reach for AI to automate the finance function and scale yourself.
• Nice to have: CPA; revenue cycle or payer experience; lending or specialty finance; investment banking or private equity background.
