Health review policy

How Matt Vail, Vye Health's Co-Founder and CEO, reviews and approves every health library page before publication, and how often we check pages again.

Who reviews our health pages

Every page in our health library is reviewed and approved by Matt Vail, Vye Health's Co-Founder and CEO, before it's published. That covers conditions, approaches to care, women's health, and our reviews of the evidence for therapies. Our website won't publish a health page until his approval is recorded.

Matt's review is an editorial review. It isn't a medical review by a clinician. You can read more about our team.

What he checks

  • Every claim matches the sources the page cites.
  • The sources are current.
  • Safety cautions are there wherever they're needed.
  • Nothing goes beyond what the clinicians it describes are licensed to do.
  • Nothing suggests that Vye Health itself diagnoses or treats anyone.
  • The page is clear about when to talk to a clinician.

Review dates

Each health page shows the date of its last review. If a page changes after his review, it goes back to him before the change is published. We check every health page again at least once a year, and sooner when guidelines or regulations change.

This isn't medical advice

Our pages are general information. They aren't medical advice, and they can't replace a visit with a clinician who knows your history.

If you find a mistake, our corrections policy explains how to tell us.
