Health library
Understand care models, health conditions, costs, and lab terms. Read sourced explanations and find questions to bring to your next visit with a clinician.
How this library is organized
The health library is a set of guides for patients, grouped by the kind of question. It is not a clinic and it does not open a chart. Each guide explains terms, points at its sources, and offers questions to take to a clinician. None of them diagnoses you or chooses a treatment.
Approaches to care compares labels you will see when you look for a clinician: family medicine, direct primary care, concierge care, functional medicine, and longevity clinics. The pages say what the label means and what to ask before you join. They do not rank one model as the right one for you.
Conditions is where a guide walks through how clinicians assess a named problem, why a diagnosis can take time, and which details are worth bringing to a visit. Reference is the glossary: care models, costs, and lab words, in plain language. Care by state is how a visit with a Vye provider works in a state where one sees patients.
Start with the section that matches your question, then open one guide. If a sentence disagrees with a source you trust, the corrections policy tells you how to send the page address and the source. Women's health and evidence reviews appear in this library when those sections have a published page.
Each section link below goes to a hub that lists only the guides published in that section. A hub with one card is not an unfinished paragraph. It is the set that exists today. Open the card for the full guide, including its sources and the date those sources were checked.
Conditions
Learn how clinicians assess ME/CFS and fibromyalgia, why diagnosis can take time, and which questions and symptom details to bring to your next visit.

Chronic headaches: what the pattern means
A chronic headache is a pattern, not one bad day. See how doctors classify it, when to get help right away, and what to track before a visit.

Fibromyalgia diagnosis: symptoms, tests and next steps
A fibromyalgia diagnosis uses symptoms and an exam, not one lab test. Learn the criteria, why delays happen, treatment options, and questions for your visit.

Chronic fatigue syndrome diagnosis: tests and next steps
A chronic fatigue syndrome diagnosis relies on symptoms and a targeted workup. Learn how ME/CFS criteria differ, what pacing means, and what to ask next.
Approaches to care
Compare family medicine, direct primary care, concierge care, functional medicine, and longevity clinics: what the labels mean and what to ask before joining.

Internal medicine vs family medicine
Family medicine and internal medicine are both primary care. See who each doctor trains to treat, how training differs, and how to check board certification.

What is hormone optimization?
Hormone optimization is a clinic phrase, not a board specialty. See what the guidelines say for men and for women, and how to check a clinic.

What is lifestyle medicine?
Lifestyle medicine uses daily habits as part of care. See the pillars, how it differs from functional medicine, and how to check a doctor's training.

What is family medicine? Care, visits and credentials
Family medicine offers primary care across ages. Learn what a family doctor does, how visits work, and how to compare training, access, and continuity.

What is functional medicine?
Functional medicine explores drivers of chronic symptoms. Learn what visits include, what studies show, and how to assess tests, costs, and credentials.

What is concierge medicine, and is it worth it?
Concierge medicine charges a membership fee for access and added services. Learn what to ask about costs, Medicare, insurance billing, and outcome evidence.

What is direct primary care?
Direct primary care charges a recurring fee for primary care services. Compare coverage, insurance needs, HSA rules, and questions to ask before joining.

What a longevity clinic does, and how to choose one
A longevity clinic may combine prevention with extra tests and treatments. Learn how to assess evidence, biological age tests, scans, costs, and credentials.

What is root-cause medicine?
Root cause medicine explores what may contribute to symptoms. Learn what a useful visit includes, how to assess the evidence, and which questions to ask.
Care by state
How care with a Vye provider works in each state they see patients: telehealth, in-person visits, and that state's rules for the clinicians you meet.
Reference
Plain-language definitions of the care models, costs, and lab tests that come up when you look for a clinician who takes time to find causes.
